Pedagogue Approach to Pupils with Specific Learning Disabilities at Montessori School and Traditional Primary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá přístupem pedagoga k žákům se specifickými poruchami učení v Montessori škole a tradiční základní škole. Cílem práce je komparace přístupu pedagoga na Montessori škole a tradiční základní škole k žákům se specifickými poruchami učení. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy vztahující se k tématu, představuje druhy specifických poruch učení, věnuje se příčinám jejich vzniku, diagnostice a reedukaci a seznamuje s legislativními změnami. Blíže je také specifikováno alternativní a tradiční školství, včetně jejich znaků. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována roli pedagoga a žáka ve vzdělávacím procesu, hodnocení a didaktickým prostředkům výuky. Na základě kvalitativního výzkumu, jehož stěžejní metodou byly rozhovory s pedagogy, které byly doplněny o poznatky z pozorování tříd na jednotlivých školách, vyplynuly výsledky týkající se způsobu práce u žáků se specifickými poruchami učení. Zabývali jsme se tím, jak vybrané faktory ovlivňují vyučování těchto žáků, a postoji pedagogů k aktuální legislativě vzdělávání. Výsledky prezentují zjištění, že vyhláška č. 27/2016 Sb., o vzdělávání žáků se specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami a žáků nadaných, neměla žádný vliv na změny v přístupu k žákům se specifickými poruchami učení v Montessori školách, neboť výuka na těchto školách je nastavena na přirozenou inkluzi v souvislosti s podporou individuálních cílů a požadavku žáků. S tím souvisí odlišný postoj a přístup pedagogů Montessori škol a škol tradičních k žákům se specifickými poruchami učení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the approach of the teacher to pupils with specific learning disabilities at Montessori school and the traditional elementary. The aim is then to compare teacher at Montessori school and traditional elementary school to pupils with specific learning disabilities. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the topic, it presents the types of specific learning disorders, it deals with the causes of their origin, diagnosis and reeducation and is familiar with the legislative changes. Alternative and traditional education, including their characters, is also specified. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the role of teacher and pupil in the educational process, evaluation and didactic means of teaching. On the basis of qualitative research, the key method of interviewing teachers with the findings of classroom observation at individual schools, resulted in results concerning the way of the work with pupils with specific learning disabilities. We dealt with how the selected factors influence the teaching of these pupils and the attitudes of educators to the current education legislation. The results present that the Decree No. 27/2016 Coll., about the education of pupils with specific educational needs and gifted pupils, had no effect on changes in access to pupils with specific learning disabilities in Montessori schools, since the education at these schools is set at natural inclusion in connection with the promotion of individual goals and the requirement of pupils. This is related to the different attitudes and attitudes of Montessori teachers and schools to traditional pupils with specific learning disabilities.
