Hand hygiene before manipulation vascular insteers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou hygieny rukou při manipulaci s cévními vstupy. Teoretická část se zabývá hygienou rukou, cévními vstupy a infekcemi krevního řečiště a jejich prevencí. Empirická část probíhala pomocí metody kvantitativního výzkumu (skryté pozorovaní). Vytvořily jsme záznamový arch vlastní konstrukce, který se zaměřoval na správný postup hygieny rukou před i po manipulaci s cévním vstupem a během jeho převazu. Zjistili jsme že, typ vstupu nebo typ manipulace (odběr krve, proplach, aplikace léků) ovlivňuje postup hygieny rukou zdravotnického personálu při manipulaci s cévními vstupy, včetně převazu., naopak akutnost výkonu hygienu rukou u zdravotnického personálu neovlivňuje. Dále jsme zjistili že kvalifikační vzdělání a délka praxe ovlivňují postup hygieny rukou při manipulaci s cévními vstupy, včetně převazu. Specializační vzdělání ovlivňuje hygienu rukou při manipulaci s cévními vstupy ale ne při jejich převazech. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že compliance hygieny rukou je stále nedostačující, a to především před manipulací s cévním vstupem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of hand hygiene during manipulation with vascular access. The theoretical part focused on hand hygiene, vascular access, bloodstream infections and their prevention. The empirical part was conducted using a quantitative research method (hidden observation). We created a custom-designed recording from that focused on the correct procedure of hand hygiene before and after manipulation with vascular access and during its dressing. We found that the type of access or manipulation (blood collection, flush, drug application) influences the hand hygiene procedure of healthcare personnel during manipulation with vascular access, including dressing. Specialized education influences hand hygiene during manipulation with vascular access not during dressing. The research indicates that hand hygiene compliance is still insufficient, especially before manipulation with vascular access.
