Empirical analysis of employee satisfaction of a manufacturing company

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá spokojeností zaměstnanců konkrétní výrobní firmy na základě různých faktorů, které ji definují. Zkoumána je pomocí shlukové analýzy a modelů strukturálních rovnic. Ačkoli jsou tyto metody v dané oblasti běžně používány, pro daný datový soubor bohužel nepřináší jednoznačné závěry kvůli velkým statistickým chybám. Proto se práce také blíže zaměřuje na tendence k odchodu ze zaměstnání, spokojenost s pracovním prostředím, ohod-nocením a jejich možné příčiny. Výsledky naznačují, že ne všechny faktory přímo ovlivňují pracovníkovu spokojenost.

Abstract:

This thesis is about job satisfaction of employees of a particular manufacturing company, based on various factors. The investigation is done using cluster analysis and structural equation modeling to give an overview and analytical review. Although both of these methods are commonly used in this field, neither method was in the end suitable for explaining the data set due to large standard errors. Therefore, we also examine whether the work environment, job evaluation and retirement depend on individual factors within broader organisational behaviour. The results show that not every factor has impact on the employee’s satisfaction.
