Anotace Tato práce analyzuje a porovnává metodu zvanou Callan Method s moderními přístupy k výuce angličtiny. Jsou porovnávány následující aspekty, které hrají roli v charakterizování metody nebo přístupu: teorie jazyka, teorie učení, cíle výuky, sylabus, role studentů a učitele, materiály a nakonec aktivity v hodinách a techniky vyučování. Abstract This thesis analyzes and compares the Callan Method (CM) with modern approaches in ELT.The following aspects of a method or an approach are analyzed: theory of language, theory of learning, syllabus, course objectives, student and teacher roles, teaching materials and techniques which include activities.
