The impact of destination management on tourism development in a selected region of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na vliv destinačního managementu na rozvoj cestovního ruchu ve Středočeském kraji. Teoretická část je zaměřená na rešerši vybrané odborné literatury se zaměřením na cestovní ruch a orgány cestovního ruchu. Dále pak na kulturu a kulturní cestovní ruch, organizace destinačního managementu a marketing destinace. Analytická část práce vychází z podrobné deskripce DMO´s Středočeského kraje, analýzy návštěvnosti turistických atraktivit, analýzy strategických dokumentů a analýzy eventů dle eventového portfolia. Na základě těchto analýz je vyhodnocen vliv organizací destinačního managementu na rozvoj Středočeského kraje. V závěru práci jsou vytvořené jednotlivé návrhy k rozvoji cestovního ruchu v kraji.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the influence of destination management on the development of tourism in the Central Bohemia region. The theoretical part is focused on the research of selected professional literature with a focus on tourism and tourism authorities. Then on culture and cultural tourism, organization of destination management and marketing destinations. The analytical part of the work is based on a detailed description of the DMO's of the Central Bohemian Region, an analysis of the number of visitors to tourist attractions, an analysis of strategic documents and an analysis of events according to the event portfolio. Based on this analysis, the influence of destination management organizations on the development of the Central Bohemian Region is evaluated. In the final thesis, individual proposals for the development of tourism in the region are created.
