Children´s Book´s Title and Research of its Signification

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá titulem knihy pro děti a zkoumáním jeho smyslu. Cílem práce bylo vytvořit klasifikaci titulů děl spadajících do literatury pro děti a mládež. Klasifikace byla definována na základě zkoumání reprezentativního vzorku titulů původní české tvorby. Jednotlivé tituly byly rozděleny do skupin podle stanovených hledisek, jako jsou žánrové hledisko, recepční otevřenost, abstraktní a konkrétní podoba titulu s ohledem na věk dětského adresáta, slovní či větná podoba titulu a titul z hlediska jeho vztahu k autorskému textu. Následně na základě podobností a odlišností byla nastíněna typologie představující jeden z mnoha úhlů, jakými lze na tvorbu pro děti nahlížet. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že významnou roli na výslednou podobu knižního titulu má cílový věk adresáta a rozdílný přístup autorů. Závěr práce se věnuje praktickému využití zkoumané problematiky v pedagogické praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the title of a children's book and an investigation of its meaning. The goal of the work was to create a classification of titles belonging to literature for children and youth. The classification was defined on the basis of an examination of a representative sample of titles of original Czech works. All titles were divided into groups according to specified points of view, such as the genre aspect, reception openness, abstract and concrete form of the title with regard to the age of the child addressee, word or sentence form of the title and the title in terms of its relationship to the author's text. Subsequently, based on the similarities and differences, a typology representing one of the many angles from which literary creation for children can be viewed was outlined. The results showed that the target age of the addressee and the different approach of the authors may have a role in the final form of the book title. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the practical use of the researched issue in pedagogical practice.
