The Development of Fine Motor Skills and Graphomotorics in Preschool Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou rozvoje jemné motoriky a grafomotoriky u dětí s PAS v předškolním věku. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem poruchy autistického spektra. Věnuje se motorickému vývoji v předškolním věku. Charakterizuje pojmy jemná motorika a grafomotorika. V závěru teoretické části je charakterizován vývoj jemné motoriky a grafomotoriky u dětí s PAS. Cílem výzkumné části práce je zjistit možnosti rozvoje jemné motoriky a grafomotoriky při záměrné intervenci u dětí s PAS v předškolním věku. Výzkumná část zahrnuje zhodnocení vlivu poruch autistického spektra na rozvoj jemné motoriky a grafomotoriky v předškolním věku. Ze zjištěných výsledků vyplývá, že u zvolených respondentů lze pozorovat opoždění v oblasti jemné motoriky a zvláště pak v grafomotorice a kresbě. Dále se ukázalo, že respondenti neinklinují ke grafomotorickým aktivitám a objevují se u nich výrazné obtíže s držením tužky při těchto aktivitách. Obtíže byly potvrzeny také v oblasti vizuomotorické koordinace. Pravidelné působení na respondenty pomocí individuálních intervenčních programů se pozitivně projevilo zejména v jemné motorice. Přínos v grafomotorice a kresbě nebyl tak jednoznačně potvrzen.

Abstract:

The main topic of the thesis is the development of fine motor skills and graphomotorics in preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). There is defined the term of autism spectrum disorders in the theoretical part. It contains the describtion of motor skills in preschool children and of the development of motor skills and graphomotorics. The aim of the thesis is to identify options of the development of fine motor skills and graphmotor in deliberate intervention for children with autism in preschool. The research evaluates the impact of ASD to develop fine motor skills and graphomotorics preschool children. The results show that for selected respondents we can observe delays in fine motor skills and especially in grafomotorics and drawing. It also appears that respondents do not tend to grafomotorics activities and significant difficulties with holding pens in these activities occured. Difficulties were also confirmed in the visual motor coordination. Regular exposure to respondents with individual intervention programs had a positive effect especially in fine motor skills. Benefits in grafomotorics and drawing wasn´t so thus absolutely confirmed.
