Evaluation of cultural events in selected cities

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je zhodnocení kulturních akcí ve třech městech na Vysočině, se zaměřením na ekonomické, sociální, kulturní a environmentální dopady. Hlavním účelem je tyto dopady popsat a následně zhodnotit pozitivní a negativní aspekty, které s sebou přinášejí na města. Teoretická část práce pojednává o kultuře, jejím členěním, funkcích, vlastností a marketingu. Dále kulturní politice, kultuře v České republice a způsobech financování kulturních akcí. Další část práce se zaměřuje na vybrané kulturní akce, návštěvnost, organizace a finanční hospodaření ve Žďáře nad Sázavou, Velkém Meziříčí a Pelhřimově. Závěrečná část práce je věnována analýze kulturních akcí ve vybraných městech. Na základě zpracovaných výsledků z dotazníkového šetření jsou vyhodnoceny ekonomické, kulturní, sociální a environmentální dopady ve městech. Výsledkem šetření jsou pozitivní dopady na město vlivem konání kulturních akcí. Lidé rádi navštěvují kulturní akce a snaží se eliminovat negativní dopady. Autorce tato práce přinesla širší seznámení s výše popsanými dopady na rozvoj měst a teoretické znalosti v oblasti kultury.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of cultural events in three different cities in the Vysočina region, focusing on economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts. The main purpose is to describe these impacts and then evaluate the positive and negative aspects, which they bring to chosen cities. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with culture, its division, functions, properties and marketing. Furthermore, cultural policy, culture in the Czech Republic and ways of financing these cultural events. The next part of the work focuses on selected cultural events, attendance, organization and financial management in Žďár nad Sázavou, Velké Meziříčí and Pelhřimov. The final part of the work is devoted to the analysis of cultural events in selected cities. Based on the processed results from the questionnaire survey, the economic, cultural, social and environmental impacts in cities are evaluated. The result of the survey is a positive impact on the city due to cultural events. People like to attend cultural events and try to eliminate negative impacts. The author of this work learned more about described impacts on urban development and theoretical knowledge in the field of culture.
