The history of implementation of IFRS in Kazakhstan

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou aplikace a implementace IFRS v Kazachstánu. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část je pak rozdělena do dvou kapitol. V první kapitole jsou představeny důvody vzniku, historie vývoje a fáze přechodu na Mezinárodní standardy účetního výkaznictví. Druhá kapitola pojednává o náročnosti a překážkách tohoto přechodu a s ním spojených výhodách a nevýhodách, provádí porovnání kazašských a mezinárodních účetních standardů a popisuje současnou situaci v oblasti IFRS v Kazachstánu. Třetí kapitola je věnována praktické části, kde je ilustrováno přijetí mezinárodních standardů vybranou společností, jsou analyzovány důsledky přechodu na vykazování podle IFRS a jeho dopad na finanční výkazy zkoumaného hospodářského subjektu. Jako informační zdroje této práce slouží platné legislativní a normativní akty Republiky Kazachstán, oficiální znění překladu IFRS a metodické doporučení k použití IFRS.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with application and implementation of IFRS in Kazakhstan. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter presents the reasons for the establishment, the history of development and stages of transition to International Financial Reporting Standards. The second chapter focuses on the complexity and obstacles of this transition and the associated advantages and disadvantages, compares Kazakh and international accounting standards, and describes the current situation of IFRS in Kazakhstan. The third chapter devoted to the practical part illustrates the adoption of international standards by a selected company, analyses the results of the transition to IFRS and its impact on the financial statements of the business entity. As information sources of this work were used existing legislative and normative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, official translation of IFRS material and the methodological recommendations for the application of IFRS.
