Value Orientation of Juvenile Delinquents

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá hodnotovou orientací mladistvých delikventů. Teoretický úvod je věnován pojmům hodnotová orientace, delikvence a období dospívání s důrazem na příčiny delikventního chování. Ty jsou rozděleny do 3 faktorů: biologický, sociální a psychologický. Praktická část se věnuje výzkumu, metodě, vzorku a výsledkům. Použitou metodou byl Schwartzův PVQ (portrait values questionnaire) dotazník, použitý na vzorku mladistvých delikventů. Tento dotazník umožňuje zjistit úroveň 10 základních hodnot (založených na Schwartzově teorii základních lidských hodnot), které vystihují hodnotovou orientaci člověka. Úrovně některých zajímavých položek dotazníku, hodnot a společných faktorů (vzniklých faktorovou analýzou) u mladistvých delikventů jsou uvedeny ve výsledcích výzkumu. Nedostatky a pozitiva tohoto výzkumu jsou pak zahrnuty v diskuzi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the problem of value orientation of juvenile delinquents. The theoretical part focuses on terms as value orientation, delinquency, and adolescence & pubescence with emphasis on causes of delinquent behaviour. Causes are divided into 3 factors: biological, social and psychological factor. The empirical part is devoted to research aim, method, sample and results. The Schwartz Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ) has been used as a research method on a sample of juvenile delinquents. This questionnaire provides to find a level of 10 basics human values (based on Schwartz “Basics human values theory”), which describe individual value orientation. Levels of some interesting questionnaire items, values and common factors (based on factor analysis) are brought out in research results. Negatives and positives of this research are reviewed in discussion.
