Loneliness of Seniors and Possibilities of Help by Social Work

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá osamělostí seniorů a možnostmi pomoci sociální práce. Cílem práce je poukázat na situace, které mohou vést ke vzniku osamělosti, popsat prevenci osamělosti se zaměřením na rodinu, víru a využití volného času a také zmapovat sociální služby zaměřené na seniory s ohledem na prevenci či řešení osamělosti a poukázat na případné nedostatky v sociálních službách. Jedná se o teoretickou práci, která je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola obsahuje definici stáří a stárnutí, jeho periodizaci, změny a adaptaci na stáří. Kapitola druhá popisuje změny v životě seniorů a s tím spojené riziko vzniku osamělosti. Následující kapitoly zahrnují prevenci osamělosti a možnosti pomoci sociální práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is occupied with the loneliness of the elderly and with the possibilities of social work. The purpose is to refer to the situations which can lead to the formation of loneliness, to describe the precautions against loneliness with the orientation to the family, religion and leisure purposes and also to map the social services focused on the elderly with regard to the precaution or solution of loneliness and to refer to the possible imperfections in social services. It is a theoretical work which is divided into four chapters. The first chapter contains the definition of age and ageing, its periodization, changes and adaptation to the old age. The second chapter describes the changes in lives of the elderly and the risk of formation of loneliness which is connected with it. The following chapters include the precaution against loneliness and the possibilities of social services aid.
