The integration of children with an aural handicap

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o integraci sluchově postižených dětí. Cílem práce bylo přiblížit problematiku integrace sluchově postižených dětí, která patří z důvodu náročné tvorby dobrých komunikačních kompetencí k nejsložitějším. Pozitivní integrace vede k vytvoření kvalitních interakcí mezi sluchově postiženými a intaktní společností. Vzhledem k náročnosti a ?dlouhodobosti? tohoto záměru diplomová práce poukazuje na nutnou pomoc nejen speciálně pedagogickou, ale také sociálně pedagogickou. V praktické části se tato práce zaměřuje na konkrétní problémy v integraci sluchově postižených u dětí individuálně a skupinově integrovaných, na vyčerpávající práci v rodinách těchto dětí. Zdůrazňuje náročný průběh integrace a poukazuje na podmínky potřebné k tomu, aby byla integrace pozitivní. V praktické části je práce zaměřena na konkrétní problémy v integraci sluchově postižených dětí individuálně a skupinově integrovaných a na důležitou práci v rodinách těchto dětí. Zdůrazňuje náročný průběh integrace a poukazuje na podmínky nezbytné k tomu, aby byla integrace pozitivní. Rozhovor se speciálním pedagogem, psychologem a vedoucí speciálně pedagogického centra dokresluje celou šíři problematiky po praktické stránce. Z jejich výstupů je nepochybná absence sociálních pedagogů jak ve školách běžného typu, tak i ve školách speciálně zřízených pro zdravotně postižené děti.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis deals with the integration of hearing-impaired children. Its ultimate goal is to give an idea of how to approach the issue of integrating hearing-impaired children, which is one of the most difficult problems due to demanding formation of fine communicative skills. Positive integration helps to create good interaction between hearing-impaired people and intact society. In view of the fact that the abovementioned intention is demanding and long-term, the thesis focuses not only on special-educational, but also social-educational help. In the practical part, the thesis describes particular problems with the integration of hearing-impaired children as individuals or in a group, and exacting work in families with such children. It emphasizes the difficulties during the process of integration and indicates conditions needed for the integration to be positive. Interviews with a special educationalist, a psychologist, and a head of an educational institution conclude the issues of the practical part. Based on the results of this research, absence of special educationalists in both regular schools and special institutions seems to be the most painful problem in the integration of hearing-impaired children.
