Attitudes of managers towards harmonization of work and family life in selected manufacturing organizations in the South Moravia Region from the perspective of HR managers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou harmonizace pracovního a rodinného života. Cílem této práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jaké jsou postoje managementu k harmonizaci práce a rodiny ve výrobních podnicích v Jihomoravském kraji?“ Práce je rozdělena do tří oddílů: teoretického, metodologického a empirického. Teoretická část práce shrnuje dosavadní odborné poznatky o dané problematice a nazírá na problematiku harmonizace práce a rodiny pohledem tří aktérů – zaměstnanců, zaměstnavatelů a státu. Popisuje potřeby zaměstnanců, strategie zaměstnavatelů a zásahy státu do rodinné politiky a tedy podpory harmonizace práce a rodiny. Metodologická část se věnuje zakotvení výzkumu. Popisuje cíle výzkumu, výzkumnou metodu, výběr respondentů a techniku sběru dat. Třetí část, empirická, se pokouší o shrnutí získaných poznatků z provedeného výzkumu v oblasti postojů managementu výrobních podniků k harmonizaci práce a rodiny.

Abstract:

Thesis focuses on attidues of management manufacturing organizations towards problem of harmonization of family and work life. The aim of thesis is answer the main research question: „What are the attitudes of management toward harmonization of work and family in manufacturing organizations in the South Moravia Region?“ Thesis is devided into three parts: theoretical, metodological and empirical. Theoretical part summarizes existing expert information about this issue and focusses on the problem from the perspective of three actors – employees, employers and state. This part desrcibes needs of employees, stategy of employers and state interventions into family policy. The second part talks about the methodology of the research. It describes aims of research, research method, selection of respondents and data acquisition. The third part of thesis tries to summarize obtained data of research.
