Biographical approach in relation to the labour market - Generation Z

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu generace Z ve vztahu ke světu práce. Cílem práce je pochopení toho, jak příslušníci generace Z vnímají sami sebe v pracovním prostředí, jak hodnotí své dosavadní zkušenosti v tomto kontextu, jak tyto zkušenosti formují jejich preference a jaké strategie pro úspěšný vstup na trh práce využívají. Data byla získána za pomoci biografických rozhovorů s 8 participanty, členy generace Z, kteří v nedávné době získali práci na plný úvazek.Výsledy výzkumu přináší lepší vhled do chování této generace na trhu práce. Klíčovým prvkem jejich pracovního postoje je důležitost rovnováhy mezi pracovním a osobním životem a vykonávání práce, která je naplňuje. Tyto potřeby ovlivňují jak jejich preference, tak do jisté míry i specifické strategie, které volí za účelem úspěšného vstupu na trh práce. Výsledky výzkumu mohou být cenným vodítkem pro organizace, které se snaží reagovat na specifické potřeby této generace v prostředí moderního pracovního trhu.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the analysis of Generation Z in relation to the labour market. The aim of the thesis is to understand how members of Generation Z perceive themselves in the work environment, how they evaluate their past experiences in this context, how these experiences shape their preferences and what strategies they implement to successfully enter the labour market. Data were collected using biographical interviews with 8 participants, members of generation Z who have recently obtained full-time employment.The research findings provide greater insight into the labour market behaviour of this generation. A key element of their work attitude is the importance of work-life balance and to do a fullfiling job. These needs influence both their preferences and, to some extent, the specific strategies they choose in order to successfully enter the labour market. The results of the research can provide valuable guidance for organisations trying to respond to the specific needs of this generation in the modern labour market environment.
