Digital literacy in children from a children's home

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na digitální gramotnost dětí z dětského domova, kteří dochází na základní školu. V teoretické části text pojednává o různých typech gramotností, jejichž postupný rozvoj umožnil formulaci a vznik gramotnosti digitální. Věnuje se základním pojmům a vysvětlením, s jakým problémem se lze potýkat. Práce zahrnuje i mnoho různých výzkumů a modelů, zabývajících se právě tímto pojmem. V neposlední řadě zmiňuje potíže v této oblasti spojené s koronavirovou situací, která vedla k bezprecedentnímu využití technologií pro účely vzdělávání a odborné přípravy. V praktické části byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum formou standardizovaného dotazníkového šetření, zaměřeného na analýzu digitální gramotnosti dětí z dětského domova, ve všech oblastech digitálních kompetencí. Cílem této práce je, na základě standardizovaného dotazníku zjistit úroveň digitální gramotnosti u těchto dětí. Diskuze bude věnována analýze výsledků a popsání možných doporučení, která z výzkumu mohla vyplynout.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on digital literacy of children from a children's home who are attending primary school. In the theoretical part, the text deals with different types of literacy, the gradual development of which has enabled the formulation and emergence of digital literacy. It is devoted to basic concepts and explanations of the problem that can be faced. The work also includes a lot of different research and models, dealing with this concept. Last but not least, it mentions the difficulties in this area related to the coronavirus situation, which has led to unprecedented use of technology for education and training purposes. In practical terms, quantitative research has been carried out in the form of a standardised questionnaire survey, focusing on the digital literacy analysis of children from children's homes, in all areas of digital competence. The aim of this work is based on a standardised query, to determine the level of digital literacy in these children. The discussion will be dedicated to analysing the results and describing possible recommendations that may have emerged from the research.
