This thesis deals with the research of Friends-and-neighbor effect in the election of the presi-dents of self-governing regions in 2013 in Slovakia. It assumed that the candidate obtained the greatest electoral support in his home region. We researched the effect in all self-governing regions and for all candidates. Táto práca sa zaoberá výskumom susedského efektu vo voľbách predsedov samosprávnych krajov v roku 2013 na Slovensku. Ten predpokladá, že kandidát získa najväčšiu volebnú pod-poru vo svojom domácom regióne. Efekt sme skúmali v rámci všetkých samosprávnych krajov a u všetkých kandidátov.
