Nursing Care for a Patient with Myasthenia Gravis

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na téma ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta s Myasthenia gravis. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Cílem bakalářské práce je představení problematiky onemocnění myastenie.V teoretické části bakalářské práce jsou objasněny klíčové pojmy a je podrobně charakterizováno samotné onemocnění Od popisu etiologie, epidemiologie, patofyziologie, přes klinický obraz, klasifikaci onemocnění, diagnostiku a terapii, až po specifika ošetřovatelské péče. Praktická část bakalářské práce se soustředí na případovou studii polymorbidního, dekompenzovaného pacienta z neurologického oddělení, hospitalizovaného pro sledování stavu v případě rozvoje myastenické krize, při zhoršení příznaků dýchání a polykání. Ošetřovatelská péče se řídila zásadami ošetřovatelského procesu, a dle této skutečnosti byla vypracována anamnéza za využití obecné ošetřovatelské dokumentace a stanoveny ošetřovatelské diagnózy za pomoci NANDA INTERNATIONAL taxonomie I 2018-2020. Na základě vytyčených cílů v úvodu empirické části bakalářské práce, byly v závěru po zhodnocení poskytované ošetřovatelské péče, navrhnuta možná řešení pro praxi a vedena diskuze. Doporučení může v praxi aplikovat, jak personál, tak samotný pacient nebo rodina pacienta.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the theme of nursing care for a patient with Myasthenia gravis. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to present the problematic of myasthenia gravis. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, key terms are clarified and the disease itself is characterized in detail. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis focuses on a case study of a polymorbid, decompensated patient from the neurological department, hospitalized for monitoring the condition in the event of the development of a myasthenic crisis, with worsening symptoms of breathing and swallowing. Nursing care was guided by the principles of the nursing process and according to this fact an anamnesis was drawn up using general nursing documentation and nursing diagnoses were determined with the help of NANDA INTERNATIONAL taxonomy I 2018-2020. On the basis of the goals set out in the introduction of the empirical part of the bachelor's thesis, possible solutions for practice were proposed and a discussion was held at the end after evaluating the provided nursing care. The recommendation can be applied in practice by both the staff and the patient himself or the patient's family.
