Effectiveness of the usage of didactics games in teaching accounting at secondary schools

Abstract:

Tématem práce je efektivita využití didaktických her ve výuce účetnictví na středních školách. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda využití této aktivizační metody bude mít dopad na získané odborné znalosti a dovednosti žáků. Pro měření tohoto dopadu jsem zvolila přístup aplikovaného výzkumu. Testované subjekty (žáky středních škol) jsem rozdělila do dvou skupin – skupina vyučována didaktickou hrou a kontrolní skupina vyučována klasickou frontální výukou. Oběma skupinám byl následně zadán test stejného znění. Vyhodnocení dopadu vyučovací metody na získané odborné znalosti, bylo dále prováděno na základě výsledků tohoto testu. Z výzkumu vyplynulo, že spojitost metody a výsledku vyučování není zcela zřejmá, ale dílčí výsledky vykázaly jiné zajímavé spojitosti, jako například vazbu mezi motivací studentů a využitou vyučovací metodou. V závěru práce uvádím komplexní zhodnocení provedeného výzkumu a jeho výsledků.

Abstract:

The topic of this paper is the effectiveness of the usage of didactics games in teaching accounting at secondary schools. The aim was to find out whether the use of this activation method will have an impact on the acquired knowledge and skills of the students. To conclude this hypothesis, I chose the approach of applied research. I divided the tested subjects into two groups. One was taught by the didactics game and the other (control group) by classical frontal teaching. Both groups then were given the same test. The evaluation of the impact of the teaching method was performed on the basis of the results of this test. The research showed, that the connection between the method and the resulted knowledge is not clear. However, the partial results showed a link between students’ motivation and the teaching method. At the end of this paper I present a comprehensive evaluation of the research and its results.
