The presence of the father at childbirth and its influence on the subsequent development of the relationship with mother and child

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se práce zaobírá psychologickým vývojem muže a fázemi, kterými muž prochází v období, kdy se stává otcem. Praktická část je zpracována jako případová studie. Výzkumu se účastnili dva participanti, se kterými byly vedeny polostrukturované rozhovory. Hlavním cílem bylo podrobně prozkoumat souvislosti mezi přítomností otce u porodu a následným vývojem vztahu s matkou a dítětem. Výzkum ukazuje, že vývoj vzájemných vztahů v rodině je ovlivňován multifaktoriálně, avšak samotná přítomnost muže u porodu hraje jen velice malou roli.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the psychological development of man and the phases that man goes through in the period when he becomes a father. The practical part is processed as a case study. Two par-ticipants took part in the research, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. The main goal was to examine in detail the relation between the presence of the father at birth and the subsequent development of the relationship with mother and child. Research shows that the development of family relationships is influenced multifactorially, but the very presence of a man at birth plays only a very little role.
