Commented translation of a non-literary text from Spanish into Czech in the field of psychosocial science: Consumption of substances in the adolescence

Abstract:

The aim of this master's thesis is an annotated translation of a technical text from Czech into Spanish related to the field of social sciences and its analysis. The work is divided into four parts. The first one consists of the original text and its translation. The second part is dedicated to the linguistic analysis of the source text with the focus on its characteristic features and particularities of individual linguistic levels. The third part provides an analysis of the translated text describing chosen strategies, translation tools, techniques and issues that had to be dealt with during the translation process. The last part contains a glossary of selected psychological and sociological terms extracted from the source text.

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je komentovaný překlad odborného textu z oblasti společenských věd ze španělského do českého jazyka, a jeho následná analýza. Celá práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. Součástí první části je originální text a jeho překlad. Ve druhé části se věnujeme jazykové analýze výchozího textu, zaměřujeme se na jeho charakteristické rysy i specifika jednotlivých jazykových rovin. Ve třetí části se zabýváme analýzou samotného překladu, popisujeme zvolenou strategii, překladatelské nástroje, techniky i problémy, které se během překladu naskytly. Poslední část tvoří glosář vybraných termínů z oblasti psychologie a sociologie, vyňatých z originálního odborného textu.
