Cooperation Between the Police and a Legally Armed Citizen at the site of a Terrorist Attack

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce obsahuje všeobecný před o součinnosti Policie ČR a legálně ozbrojeného občana při nastání teroristického útoku na vybraných místech. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na pojem terorismus společně s uvedením seznamu míst, kde je vyšší pravděpodobnost nastání této situace, dále na charakteristiku Policie ČR, skupiny zbrojních průkazů a samostatné kapitole na použití zbraně. Praktická část bude věnována rozhovorů s příslušníky Policie ČR, dále s pracovníky soukromé bezpečnostní služby a legálně ozbrojenými občany. Hlavním cílem rozhovorů bude zjistit, zda si všechny 3 cílové skupiny uvědomují nebezpečí terorismu a zda by byli schopni součinnosti na místě teroristického útoku. V závěru bude navržen obsah případného kurzu pro legální držitele palných zbraní pro případ sebeobrany a obrany na místě teroristického útoku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis incorporates general summary of the cooperation of the Police of the Czech Republic and legally armed citizen in the event of the terrorist attack at the selected places. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the term the terrorism together with the statement of the list of locations where is higher probability of this situation. Next it focuses on the characteristic of the Police of the Czech Republic, categories of gun licenses and individual chapter about the usage of gun. Practical part is dedicated to interviews with the Czech Republic police officers, with the staff of the private security service and legally armed citizens. The main aim of the interviews is to find out if all three target groups are aware of the terrorist danger. And if they would be able to cooperate at the place of terrorist attack. In the conclusion will be suggested content of the potential course for legal firearm holders in the case of self-defence and defence at the place of the terrorist attack.
