Nursing process in the care of a patient with craniotrauma

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vytvořit ošetřovatelský proces v péči u pacienta s kraniotraumatem, konkrétně epidurálním hematomem. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část je rozdělena na dvě kapitoly, kde první kapitola popisuje druhy kraniálního poranění, jejich příčinu vzniku, diagnostiku, terapii a případné komplikace. Druhá kapitola je věnována specifické ošetřovatelské péči u pacienta s tímto onemocněním, která obsahuje monitoraci, ošetřovatelkou péči o chirurgickou ránu a invazivní vstupy, edukaci a psychickou podporu. Praktická část obsahuje ošetřovatelský proces v péči u pacienta s epidurálním hematomem na neurochirurgické jednotce intenzivní péče, kde jsou tito pacienti hospitalizování. V empirické části byla vytvořena ošetřovatelská anamnéza při přijetí na neurochirurgickou jednotku intenzivní péče. Následně byly podle ošetřovatelské anamnézy stanoveny ošetřovatelské diagnózy podle NANDA Internatinal taxonomie II. K stěžejním diagnózám byly vytvořeny ošetřovatelské intervence, následná realizace a jejích hodnocení. Data byly získána ze zdravotnické dokumentace pacienta, dále fyzikálním vyšetřením pacienta dle standardizovaných nástrojů. Část dat byla získaná od rodinných příslušníků.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a nursing process in the care of a patient with a cranial trauma, specifically an epidural hematoma. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters, where the first chapter describes the types of cranial injuries, their causes, diagnostics, therapy, and possible complications. The second chapter is devoted to specific nursing care for patients with this condition, which includes monitoring, nursing care for surgical wounds and invasive procedures, education, and psychological support. The practical part contains a nursing process in the care of a patient with an epidural hematoma in the neurosurgical intensive care unit where these patients are hospitalized. In the empirical part, a nursing history was created upon admission to the neurosurgical intensive care unit. Subsequently, nursing diagnoses were established according to the NANDA International taxonomy II based on the nursing history. Nursing interventions were created for key diagnoses, followed by implementation and evaluation. Data were obtained from the patient's medical records, physical examination of the patient using standardized tools, and some data were obtained from family members.
