Nádorový supresorový protein p53 je důležitý při regulaci exprese mnoha genů podílejících se na kontrole buněčného cyklu, nebo se podílí na apoptóze buňky a tím zamezuje vzniku nádorových onemocnění. K vykonávání funkce transkripčního faktoru je důležitá schopnost tohoto proteinu interagovat s DNA, a to sekvenčně specificky s konsensním místem (p53CON) nebo sekvenčně nespecificky s různými strukturami …more
Abstract:
The p53 tumor suppressor is an important regulator in the expression of many genes which are involved in the cell cycle control. Protein p53 also causes cell apoptosis and prevents initiation of cancer. Ability of this protein to interact with DNA is very important for its function as a transcription factor.
