Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je posouzení bolesti seniorů v domově pro seniory. Teoretic-ká část je věnována problematice bolesti obecně, bolesti u seniorů, managementu bolesti a shr-nutí základních poznatků týkajících se hodnotících nástrojů bolesti. Výzkumná část je zaměře-na na porovnání bolesti u seniorů pomocí tří vybraných funkčních škál bolesti (Numerická šká-la bolesti - Numeric Rating Scale - NRS, Vizuální analogová škála - Visual Analogue Scale - VAS a Revidovaná škála obličejů - Faces Pain Scale - Revised - FPS-R), zjišťování vzájem-ného vztahu mezi jednotlivými škálami a následně na preferenci škál dle obtížnosti. Cílem diplomové práce je shrnutí současného stavu poznání v oblasti problematiky bolesti u seniorů, zjistit a porovnat prevalenci a intenzitu aktuální bolesti a učinit doporučení pro praxi, která škála je seniory preferována při hodnocení bolesti i s ohledem na kognitivní deficit. Z tohoto výzkumu vyplývá, že škály použité v tomto šetření jsou validní a nejpreferovanější škálou dle obtížnosti u seniorů bez ohledu na kognitivní stav je škála NRS a FPS-R.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is the assessment of pain in a home for the elderly. The theoretical part is devoted to the issue of pain in general, pain in the elderly age, pain management and a summary of basic knowledge about pain assessment tools. The research part is focused on the evaluation of pain using three selected functional pain scales (Numeric Rating Scale - NRS, Visual Analogue Scale - VAS and Faces Pain Scale - Revised - FPS-R), finding out the mu-tual relation between individual scales and subsequently on the preference of scales according to difficulty. The aim of the thesis is to summarize the current state of knowledge in the field of pain management in senior age, to find out and compare the prevalence and intensity of current pain and make recommendations for practice. Which scale is preferred by seniors in assessing pain with respect to cognitive deficit. This research shows that the scales used in this survey are valid and the most preferred scale according to difficulty in the elderly age, regar-dless of cognitive status, is the NRS and FPS-R scale.
