Life satisfaction of social workers in Probation service

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou životní spokojenosti sociálních pracovníků se zaměřením na pracovníky probační a mediační služby. Cílem této práce je vypracování přehledové studie problematiky životní spokojenosti pracovníků probační a mediační služby. V teoretické části se autor věnuje historii a vzniku tohoto institutu, dále potom konceptu restorativní justice a alternativním trestům. Autor se také zabývá obecnou definicí pojmu sociální práce, životní a pracovní spokojenost. Empirickou část tvoří přehled výzkumů konaných ve světě na téma životní spokojenosti probačních úředníků. Prezentuje výsledky získané během kvantitativního šetření zaměřené na identifikaci a popis některých aspektů pracovního sebepojetí probačních úředníků a jejich pracovní spokojenosti, stresových situacích, apod.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of satisfaction of social workers, focusing especially on the employees of the Probation and Mediation Service. The aim of this thesis is to draw up a review study of the phenomenon of life satisfaction of the employees of the Probation and Meditation Service. Its theoretical part focuses on the history and origin of this institutiton as well as the concept of restorative justice and alternative punishments. The author also examines the general definition of the concept of social work, life and work satisfaction. The empirical part of the thesis consists of the overview of all research focusing on life satisfaction of probation officers carried out worldwide. It presents the outcomes obtained during quantitative measurment focusing on the identification nd description of several aspects of work self-concept of probation officers and their work satisfaction, stress situation, etc.
