SMC (Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes) proteinové komplexy se podílejí na základních regulačních procesech chromozomu, včetně dynamiky a segregace, udržení stability genomu a transkripci. Úloha jednoho z nich - Smc5-6 komplexu zůstává nadále nejasná. Abstract:
SMC (Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes) protein complexes are related to many fundamental chromosome-based processes, including chromosome dynamics and segregation, maintenance of genome stability, and transcription.
