Social Work with Clients with Mental Illness

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou závažnosti duševních nemocí. Cílem je popsat roli sociální práce s takto nemocnými klienty. Práci tvoří dvě stěžejní oblasti. Teoretická část s využitím odborné literatury popisuje otázku duševní nemoci, schizofrenie, systému péče s klienty s duševním onemocněním a vymezuje termín "klient v systému sociálních služeb". Empirická část pomocí polostrukturovaného interwiev zjišťuje názory odborníků, mapuje a hodnotí současný stav sociální práce s touto cílovou skupinou. V závěru empirické části jsou shrnuta výzkumná zjištění a navržena opatření, která by mohla vést ke zlepšení současné situace v systému péče o klienty s duševním onemocněním.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with severity of mental illness. The aim is to describe the role of social work with such ill clients. The work consists of two key areas. The theoretical part using scholarly literature discusses the issue of mental illness, schizophrenia, the care system of people with mental illness and defines the term "client in the social services system". The empirical part using the semistructured interview finds the views of experts, describes and evaluates current status of social work with this target group. The research findings are summarised in the empirical part of the bachelor thesis. There are proposed measures that could lead to an improvement of the current situation in the system of care for clients with mental illness.
