Sights as historical reminder of the battle of Stalingrad

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je určit význam Volgogradských pamětihodností jako mementa Stalingradské bitvy. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř hlavních částí. V první kapitole je stručně uvedena historie města Caricyn - Stalingrad - Volgograd, a průběh Stalingradské bitvy. Ve druhé části je zkoumán význam bitvy v kultuře, konkrétně v filmu a literatuře. V další části byly vybrány nejvýznamnější Volgogradské památníky, které byly popsány a byl určen jejich význam v současné době. V poslední kapitole se autor zabývá využitím materiálu ve školní praxi.

Abstract:

The main aim of the thesis is to determine the meaning of historical sights as a memorial of the Battle of Stalingrad. The thesis is divided into four main sections. The first section includes the history of the city of Caricyn Stalingrad Volgograd and a brief description of the Battle of Stalingrad. In the second part the significance of the battle in culture, particularly in the literature and cinematography have been explored. In the following section, the author have chosen the main historical sights in Volgograd, described them and tried to determine their significance. In the last part the application of the material in education can be found.
