The Personality of the Pressagent as a Presumption of Effective Company Communication

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se komplexně zaměřuje na vymezení pojmu profese tiskový mluvčí a prostředí, ve kterém působí. Primárně se orientuje na všeobecný rozbor tohoto pojmu, na jeho teoretická východiska a přibližuje souvislosti a podstatu této profese. Podrobněji je zaměřena na oblasti marketingové komunikace (Public relations, Media Relations a Press Relations), kde je role tiskového mluvčího definována, jsou také charakterizovány její klíčové aspekty. Definuje odlišnosti této profese ve sféře podnikatelské a veřejné (státní). Hledisko teoretického zaměření je také psychologické, konkrétně se jedná o pojem „osobnost“ a její typologie či strukturace. Teoretický přístup je následně využit v praktické části diplomové práce. Kvalitativní šetření je uskutečněno prostřednictvím hloubkových řízených rozhovorů s představiteli profese tiskového mluvčího (L. Špaček, J. Osúch, L. Raimondová, J. Malíková, L. Novotná a další významní představitelé). U jednotlivých analyzovaných oblastí uvádím své vlastní subjektivní hodnocení a následně definuji svá metodologická doporučení (obecný profil osobnosti tiskového mluvčího). Více pozornosti je věnováno podrobnému hodnocení a analyzování jednotlivých osobnostních profilů dotazovaných tiskových mluvčích. Analyzováním výběrového souboru dotazovaných je definován obecný profil osobnosti tiskového mluvčího na základě stanovených kritérií. Jsou charakterizovány vlastnosti, dovednosti, schopnosti a funkce či kompetence této „sociální role“. V závěru jsou potvrzeny či vyvráceny předem stanovené hypotézy a je uveden hlavní přínos či doporučení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on complex definition of the profession of the press officer and the environment of his working. It primarily focuses on a general analysis, theoretical background and closer describes the context and nature of this profession. The thesis is in more detail focused on the area of marketing communication (public relations, media relations and press relations) where the role of the press officer is defined and its basic aspects are characterized. It defines the differences of the profession in the public and private sphere. The theoretical focus is also on the psychological aspect, specifically the personality, its typology and structure. A qualitative survey was conducted by the means of directed interview with the representatives of the profession of press officer (L.Špaček, J. Osúch, L. Raimondová, J. Malíková, L. Novotná and other signifiant representatives). In the single analyzed areas I also express a subjective evaluation and I further give methodological recommendations (a general profile of the press officer). More attention is paid to detailed evaluation and analysis of single personality profiles of the interviewed press officers. Through the means of analysis a general personality profile is defined on the basis of given criteria. The qualities, skills and competencies of this social role are characterized. In the conclusion the hypotheses are confirmed or proved wrong and a recommendation is given.
