Motivation as a means to increase employee satisfaction

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá motivací jako prostředkem ke zvýšení spokojenosti zaměstnanců. Cílem práce je navrhnout opatření ke zlepšení motivačního systému ve vybrané organizaci na základě zjištěných informací o úrovni spokojenosti zaměstnanců a také slabých a silných stránkách stávajícího systému motivace. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části je nejprve vymezen význam motivace v řízení lidských zdrojů, poté jsou popsány základní teorie motivace, dále vnější a vnitřní motivace a v neposlední řadě je prostor věnován metodice práce. Praktická část představuje vybranou organizaci, následně se zaměřuje na aktuální motivační systém ve zkoumané společnosti. Následně je proveden kvalitativní výzkum, na jehož základě jsou formulována doporučení na posílení motivačního systému. Kvalitativní výzkum je realizován ve formě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů ve vybrané organizaci.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on motivation as a means to increase employee satisfaction. The aim of the thesis is to propose measures to improve the motivation system in the selected organization based on the information gathered about the level of employee satisfaction and also the strengths and weaknesses of the existing motivation system. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part firstly defines the importance of motivation in human resource management, then the basic theories of motivation are described, followed by extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and finally attention is given to the methodology of the thesis. The practical part introduces the selected organization, then focuses on the current motivation system in the selected company. Subsequently, qualitative research is conducted, based on which recommendations are formulated to enhance the motivation system. The qualitative research is conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews in the selected organization.
