Human Resources Management in Hospitality

Abstract:

Topic of the master thesis is “Human Resources Management” and it examines hotel complex AquaCity Poprad and hotel Jupiter*** situated in the High Tatras region. The aim of the thesis is to determine and compare level of satisfaction and motivation of employees working in these hotels. The theoretical part focuses on defining issues related to personnel management. This part explains the basic terms such as function and aim of human resources management, personnel policy, motivation and its process, employee satisfaction and motivation program. The practical part is focused on the analysis of work satisfaction and employee motivation. This part contains description of the chosen research method and the process of its implementation. Part of this section is to introduce the surveyed hotels, which are compared in the analysis. The final section undertake the solutions created based on the results obtained from the realized analysis. The proposals are aimed to increase motivation and satisfaction of the employees working in these hotels.

Diplomová práca na tému „Riadenie ľudských zdrojov v hotelierstve“ skúma hotelový komplex AquaCity Poprad a hotel Jupiter*** nachádzajúce sa v podtatranskom regióne. Cieľom diplomovej práce je zistenie a porovnanie miery spokojnosti a motivácie zamestnancov pracujúcich v týchto hoteloch. Teoretická časť je zameraná na vymedzenie problematiky týkajúcej sa personálneho riadenia. Obsahuje vysvetlenie základných pojmov ako je napr. úloha a cieľ riadenia ľudských zdrojov, personálna politika, motivácia a jej proces, spokojnosť zamestnancov a motivačný program. Praktická časť je upriamená na analýzu pracovnej spokojnosti a motivácie zamestnancov. Obsahuje popis zvolenej výskumnej metódy a spôsob jej realizácie. Súčasťou tejto časti je aj predstavenie skúmaných hotelových subjektov, ktoré sú v analýze porovnávané. Záverečná časť sa zaoberá návrhom riešení vytvorených na základe výsledkov získaných z prevedenej analýzy. Návrhy sú zamerané na zvýšenie motivácie a spokojnosti zamestnancov týchto hotelových subjektov.
