Politicization of the Euro Adoption Issue by the Czech Party System

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Politizace tématu přijetí eura českým stranickým systémem“ se zaměřuje na faktory, které ovlivňují debatu o přijetí eura v České republice. Zaměřuje se především na analýzu postojů politických stran, odborníků a široké veřejnosti k implementaci eura. Snaží se rozklíčovat, zda mezi tyto faktory patří politizace, skepticismus, veřejné mínění, politický narativ či na ní působí další vlivy. Výzkum v této práci kombinoval kvalitativní a kvantitativní metody, jež zahrnovaly rozhovory s odborníky a politickými představiteli a sběr dat prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření veřejnosti, s cílem hlouběji porozumět problematice otázky přijetí eura. Práce přináší novou perspektivu na názory politických subjektů, odborníků a veřejnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis "The Politicization of the Euro Adoption Issue by the Czech Party System" focuses on the factors influencing the debate on euro adoption in the Czech Republic. It primarily examines the perspectives of political parties, experts, and the general public regarding the implementation of the euro. It seeks to uncover whether these factors include politicization, skepticism, public opinion, political narratives, or other influences. The research in this thesis utilized both qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews with experts and political representatives, as well as data collection through public opinion surveys, with the aim of gaining deeper understanding of the issue of euro adoption. This thesis provides a new perspective on the views of political entities, experts, and the public.
