Map Collection of the district population of Svitavy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zpracováním souboru map a popisem jednotlivých tematických map obsažených v souboru map. Mapy jsou zaměřeny na obyvatelstvo okresu Svitavy. Bakalářská práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část obsahuje stručný úvod o tematické kartografii a popis všeobecných kartografických zásad. Dále je součástí první části vlastní návrh konceptu souboru map obyvatelstva okresu Svitavy, zmiňuji se o geografických informačních systémech a popisuji tvorbu map v programu ArcGIS 10. Praktickou částí je samotný soubor map, který může sloužit jako námět pro vytvoření atlasu obyvatelstva okresu Svitavy. Součástí praktické části je i interpretace jednotlivých map obsažených v souboru.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with processing of set of maps and description of individual thematic maps included in the set of maps. Maps are focused on the population of Svitavy district. Bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part includes brief introduction of thematic cartography and a description of general cartography principles. Another piece of the first part is a personal proposal of a concept of population set of maps in the Svitavy district. I deal with geographical information systems and describe the creation of maps in ArcGIS 10 program. Practical part is the set of maps itself which can serve as a topic for creating an atlas of population of Svitavy district. Part of the practical part is also an interpretation of individual maps which are contained in the collection.
