Abstract:

Hlavním tématem rigorózní práce je podrobná analýza změn v dopravní hierarchii středisek osídlení České republiky v průběhu transformačního období. Práce tak představuje parciální analýzu aktuálních změn v dopravním systému České republiky, které byly z velké většiny vyvolány či urychleny transformačními procesy po roce 1989. Dopravní hierarchie středisek osídlení a její vývoj v průběhu sledovaného období je sledována pouze z pohledu silniční dopravy, která však v současné době představuje klíčové dopravní odvětví v České republice. Úvodní a spíše teoretická část práce se zabývá hodnocením vztahu mezi dopravou a geografickou organizací prostoru včetně rešerše této problematiky v mezinárodní a domácí vědecké literatuře. Důraz je kladen zejména na význam dopravy v prostoru a její vliv na jeho komplexní organizaci. Nedílnou součástí je pak stručná analýza geografie dopravy a jejího současného výzkumného zaměření. V rámci analytické části práce je pozornost věnována nejprve dlouhodobým tendencím ve vývoji dopravní hierarchie středisek osídlení (i), které tvoří základní rámec pro následující hodnocení. Dále jsou analyzovány hlavní změny v dopravním významu středisek osídlení mezi léty 1990 a 2005 (ii) a strukturální změny v dopravní hierarchii mezi léty 1990 a 2005 (iii). Vlastní analýzy vycházejí z výsledků Sčítání silniční dopravy 1990 – 2005 pořizovaných Ředitelstvím silnic a dálnic České republiky. V závěrečné části je provedena syntéza celé sledované problematiky a zároveň jsou naznačeny možnosti jejího dalšího studia.

Abstract:

The main theme of submitted rigorous thesis is a detailed analysis of main changes in the transport hierarchy of Czech settlement centres during the transformation period. This thesis is thus a partial analysis of actual changes in transport system of the Czech republic, which were largely evoked or accelerated by the transformation processes after the year 1989. Transport hierarchy of settlement centres and its emergence in transformation period is monitored only from the road transport point of view, which however poses the crucial transport mode in the Czech republic. The introductory and rather theoretical part is focused on the evaluation of relationship between transport and the geographical organization of space including the retrieval of this problematics in international and national scientific literature. The emphasis is namely on the importance of transport in space and the impact of transport on a complex spatial organization. The integral part is than a sententious analysis of transport geography and its contemporary research phenomena. The analytical part is firstly concerned of the long-term trends in transport hierarchy emergence (i), which is the basic framework for following evaluations. There are analyzed the main significance changes in transport importance of settlement centres between the year 1990 and 2005 (ii) and the structural changes in transport hierarchy between the year 1990 and 2005 (iii). The analyses proceed from the results of Road traffic censes, which are conducted by the Czech Motorway Directorate. The concluding part is focused on the synthesis of whole monitored problematic and there are simultaneously suggested the opportunities for its subsequent study.
