Use of IS/ICT tools for managing a particular organization

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá využitím IS/ICT nástrojů pro řízení konkrétní organizace. Práce byla realizována na malou organizaci manica, s. r. o., která se zabývá poradenstvím v IT. Hlavním cílem této práce je analýza a návrh technického vylepšení IS/ICT nástrojů pro zlepšení a zefektivnění řízení organizace. V teoretické části jsou nejprve vysvětleny základní terminologie související s informačními systémy. Dále je charakterizován informační systém, jeho struktura a vztah k systému řízení, organizace a její pojetí ve smyslu řízení. Další část teorie představuje jednotlivé ICT nástroje a jejich využití pro řízení a komunikaci v organizaci. V praktické části je k dosažení stanoveného cíle využito několik metod včetně studia literárních zdrojů. Tato část využívá metodu deskripce, pozorování, dotazníkové šetření a řízené rozhovory s majitelem organizace. Praktická část řeší charakteristiku a analýzu stavu vybraných IS/ICT nástrojů v organizaci. Výsledkem této práce je návrh implementace technického vylepšení pro řízení organizace a jakým způsobem to učinit, také návrh na zavedení konkrétních nástrojů nebo metod pro zlepšení a zefektivnění řízení a komunikace v organizaci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the use of IS/ICT tools for managing a particular organization. The work was carried out on a small organization manica, s. r. o., which deals with IT consultancy. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze and design technical improvements of IS/ICT tools to improve and increase the efficiency of the organization's management. In the theoretical part the basic terminology associated with information systems is explained. It further characterizes the information system, its structure and relation to the management system, organization and its conception in terms of management. The next part of the theory presents individual ICT tools and their use for management and communication in the organization. In the practical part several methods to achieve the stated goal are used, including the study of literary sources. This section deals with the method of description, observation, questionnaire survey and managed interviews with the owner of the organization. The practical part solves the characteristics and analysis of state of selected IS/ICT tools in the organization. The result of this thesis is a proposal to implement technical improvements for organization management and how to do so, as well as a proposal to introduce specific tools or methods to improve and increase the efficiency of management and communication within an organisation.
