Influence of atmospheric pollution on spectral composition of incident solar radiation

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu atmosférických polutantů na spektrální složení dopadajícího slunečního záření. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na sluneční záření a vliv atmosféry na toto záření, na látky znečišťující ovzduší a je uvedena charakteristika města Ostravy. Experimentální část se zabývá analýzou spektrálních složek dopadajícího slunečního záření a znečištění ovzduší na dvou různých lokalitách a dále vlivem atmosférických polutantů na dopadající sluneční záření. Sběr dat probíhal za pomocí tří soustav čidel na dvou různých lokalitách města Ostravy, a to v městské části Radvanice a Poruba. Sběr dat probíhal od července 2014 do června 2016. Ve výsledcích jsou zobrazeny průměrné měsíční a roční ozářenosti jednotlivých spektrálních složek, koncentrace polutantů a srovnání obou lokalit lišících se mírou znečištění. Při srovnávání těchto lokalit bylo patrné větší průměrné množství dopadajícího záření na lokalitě s nižším znečištěním. Očekávaný pokles hodnot vybraných spektrálních poměrů se zvyšující se mírou znečištění ovzduší se v některých případech potvrdil. Nejlepší výsledky byly získány pro slunečné dny jarních a podzimních měsíců.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the impact of atmospheric pollutants on the spectral composition of incident solar radiation. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on solar radiation and the influence of the atmosphere on the radiation. Further, substances polluting the atmosphere and also the city of Ostrava are described. The experimental part deals with the analysis of spectral components of incident solar radiation and air pollution at two different locations of Ostrava and influence of atmospheric pollutants on the incident solar radiation. Data collection was carried out using three identical sets of sensors at two different locations in Ostrava - Radvanice and Poruba. Data was collected from July 2014 to June 2016. The results showed the monthly averages and annual irradiances of individual spectral components of incident solar radiations, the concentrations of air pollutants and the comparison of both measuring sites that differs in the air pollution extent. From these two locations a higher average irradiation was found in a less polluted area. The expected decrease in the values of selected spectral ratios with increasing air pollution has been confirmed in some cases. The best results were obtained for the sunny days during the spring and autumn months.
