Control module of the technological process

Abstract:

This thesis is devoted to analysis of automatization tools, which are used to control machines that need precise time synchronization - for example machines in batch production. It describes products of company B&R GmbH - about their developement tool - Automation Studio and its posibilities. However it also describes hardware components - PLC (Programmable Logical Controller) input/output modules, engines and hydraulics. In practical part of my work there is design and implementation of program controlling traffic lights. It works according to length of congestion from particular directions, pressing the button at pedestrian crossing and crossing of priority vehicle (such as ambulance). Algorithm works partly on principles of fuzzy logic and is tested on several model situations. Results are then compared to those measured using standard traffic lights without special control algorithm.

Abstract:

Táto práca sa venuje analýze možností automatizačných nástrojov, ktoré sa využívajú na riadenie strojov vyžadujúcich presnú časovú synchronizáciu – napríklad stroje na sériových výrobných linkách. Konkrétne sa pojednáva o produktoch firmy B&R GMbH – ich vývojovom prostredí Automation Studio a jeho možnostiach, ale aj o hardvérových súčiastkach, ktorými sú PLC (Programmable logical controller – programovateľný logický ovládač), vstupno-výstupné moduly, motory a hydraulika. V praktickej časti je navrhnutý a implementovaný program riadiaci svetelnú križovatku. Do úvahy sa berie dĺžka kolón z jednotlivých smerov, stlačenie tlačidla na prechode pre chodcov a prejazd vozidla s prednostným právom jazdy. Algoritmus pracuje sčasti na princípe fuzzy logic a je testovaný na viacerých modelových situáciách. Dosiahnuté výsledky sú porovnávané s nameranými hodnotami v prípade svetelnej križovatky s pevným cyklom bez špeciálneho riadiaceho algoritmu.
