Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výzkumem studentů s ADHD a jejich specifickými potřebami a tím, jak může drama v EFL třídě těmto žákům pomoci ve studiu. Studenti s ADHD potřebují dynamické výukové prostředí s mnoha různými nástroji a metodami. Drama ve třídě EFL obsahuje širokou škálu aktivit, které mohou studentům pomoci soustředit se, můžou studenty motivovat a také zvýšit jejich sebevědomí. Teoretická část této práce uvádí některé základní definice toho, jak ADHD může ovlivnit studenty v EFL třídě, zejména v oblasti čtyř základních jazykových znalostí (čtení, psaní, poslech, mluvení) a v oblasti problémů s chováním, které se mohou ve třídě vyskytnout. Práce obsahuje různé typy dramat ve vyučování, a také to, jak může drama pomoci v EFL třídě a ve třídě se speciálními studijními potřebami. Praktická část této práce se zabývá výzkumem osmi chlapců s ADHD ve dvou hodinách anglického jazyka s využitím dramata. Obsahuje také část o behaviorálních nástrojích pro práci se studenty s ADHD, a seznam různých dramatických aktivit, které se dají použit ve vyučování. Předposlední část obsahuje rozhovor se dvěma učitelkami, které učí studenty s ADHD anglický jazyk. Závěrečná část je analýzou zjištění proč je drama v EFL třídě užitečné a prospěšné pro studenty s ADHD.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with students with ADHD and their specific needs, and how drama in the EFL classroom may help fulfill those needs. Students with ADHD need a dynamic learning environment with many different tools and methods. Drama in the EFL classroom has a wide range of activities that can help students’ concentration, motivation, and confidence. The theoretical part of this thesis gives some basic definitions: how ADHD may affect students in the EFL classroom when dealing with the four basic language learning skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) as well a behavioral issues that may occur in the classroom. It also contains description of different types of drama in the classroom, as well as how drama can help in the EFL classroom and the special education classroom. The practical part of this thesis deals with a study of eight boys with ADHD and two class periods of drama in the EFL classroom. It also has a section about behavioral tools to work with students with ADHD, and a list of various drama activities in the classroom. An interview with two teachers who teach English to students with ADHD is the penultimate section. The final section is an analysis of the findings and a conclusion of why drama in the EFL classroom is helpful for students with ADHD.
