Assessment of the client's creditworthiness

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na hodnocení bonity klientů v kontextu úvěrového rizika. Hlavním cílem práce je posoudit bonitu podniku Budějovický Budvar, n.p. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy úvěrové riziko, jeho řízení, úvěrový proces, úvěrové registry a úvěrový rating. Dále analyzuje interní ratingové modely bank, jež představují zásadní prostředek při hodnocení kreditní schopnosti klientů. Proces tvorby interního ratingového modelu následně zahrnuje pečlivou analýzu kvantitativních a kvalitativních proměnných. V empirické části práce je provedena finanční analýza podniku Budějovický Budvar, n.p., ve které jsou využity poměrové ukazatele a následné využití bonitního modelu Kralickova Quicktestu. Na základě provedené analýzy je vyhodnoceno finanční zdraví a úvěruschopnost podniku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the assessment of creditworthiness of clients in the context of credit risk. The main objective of the thesis is to assess the creditworthiness of Budějovický Budvar, n.p. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines the concepts of credit risk, its management, credit process, credit registers, credit rating. Furthermore, it analyses the internal rating models of banks, which represent a fundamental tool in the assessment of the creditworthiness of clients. The process of developing an internal rating model then involves a careful analysis of quantitative and qualitative variables. In the empirical part of the thesis, a financial analysis of Budějovický Budvar, n.p. is performed, in which ratio indicators are used and the subsequent use of the Kralick's Quicktest credit rating model. Based on the analysis, the financial health and creditworthiness of the company is evaluated.
