Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou historického vývoja bankovníctva na Slovensku. Charakterizuje pojmy v bankovej oblasti ako sú komerčné a centrálne bankovníctvo. Popíše delenie bánk, ich poslanie a význam. Práca približuje všeobecný vývoj bankovníctva od jeho vzniku až po súčasný stav na území Slovenska.
