Environmental Regulations and its` impact on the economic development

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá vztahem mezi konceptem udržitelného rozvoje a ekonomickým růstem a zkoumá vliv enviromentálních regulací na hospodářský růst. V současnosti je hodně diskutován vliv hospodářství na životní prostředí, jmenovitě její vliv na klima. Podněty pro tuto debatu pocházejí nejčastěji z EU, která se snaží prosazovat koncept udržitelného rozvoje. Práce postupně definuje koncept udržitelného rozvoje, jeho vývoj a kritická místa a způsob, jak se promítá do evropských politik. Součástí práce je případová studie srovnání EU a Číny jako srovnání udržitelného modelu rozvoje a modelu extenzivního růstu.

Abstract:

This final thesis discus the relation between the sustainable development and economic growth and analyses the impact of the environmental regulations on economic development. The impact of economic activity on economic development is currently very discussed topic. The impulses for the discussion come mainly form the EU which tries to promote the sustainable development. This final thesis firstly defines the concept of sustainable development, its development over time, critical points and the way it is implemented through the European policies. A part of this thesis is also the case study comparing the EU and China as the two economic models - sustainable and extensive.
