The Methods and Techniques Useful in Social Work with Family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá oblastí sociální práce s rodinou, resp. metodami a technikami, jež jsou využitelné s touto cílovou skupinou. Podstatou práce je kvalitativně zaměřený empirický výzkum, jehož cílem bylo zjistit jaké metody a techniky využívají sociální pracovníci ve vybraných zařízeních na Ostravsku při práci s rodinou a jaká jsou kritéria, která jim slouží k výběru těchto postupů práce. Teoretická část objasňuje základní pojmy, jako jsou metoda a technika, a to především v kontextu diplomové práce. Dále se zabývá tématem rodiny, vymezením sociální práce s rodinou a jejími teoretickými východisky. V závěru této části jsou podrobně popsány jednotlivé metody a techniky práce. Výzkumným vzorkem se stala tři zařízení pracující s rodinou ? azylový dům pro matky s dětmi, zařízení sociální asistence v rodinách s dětmi a krizové centrum pro děti a rodinu. Ke sběru dat byly použity hned tři techniky ? jako klíčová se projevila technika nezúčastněného a strukturovaného pozorování, dále jsem využila rozhovor pomocí návodu a analýzu úředních dokumentů. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují na využití zejména metod poradenství a úkolově orientovaného přístupu v různé míře podle charakteru zařízení. Dále pak metody videotrénink interakcí, sanace rodiny a krizové intervence. Využití technik bylo v zařízeních velmi variabilní ? nejčastěji pracovníci užívali techniky úkolově orientovaného přístupu, krátké terapie, techniky milánské školy a poradenské techniky ? zejména nácvik specifických dovedností. Kritéria výběru byla určena jednak zákonnou povinností, jednak charakterem zařízení, dále pak osobností klienta i sociálního pracovníka, typem problému a v neposlední řadě také vzděláním sociálních pracovníků.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the theme of social work with family, rather on the methods and techniques, which are useful with this object group. Thesis is based on qualitative empirical research, which goal was to find out which methods and techniques are using by social workers in the chosen institutions in the region of Ostrava during working with family and what are their criterias to chose it. Theoretical part clears up basic terms such as method and technique, above all in the context of diploma thesis. Below it focuses on the theme of family, limitation of social work with family and its theoretical recourses. At the end of this part are closely described particular methods and techniques of the work. The research sample contains three institutions of social work ? sanctuary house for mothers with children, institution of social assistance for the families with children and crisis centre for children and family. For data collection was used three techniques ? as a key showed technique of stand aside and structural observing, further I used dialogue by the help of direction and analysis of official documents. Results of the research show using especially method of counselling and task centred approach in different volume in agreement with the type of the institution. Further methods, which I found out, were video home training, family sanitation and crisis intervention. Using techniques was in different institutions very variable ? most often social workers used techniques of task centred approach, brief therapy, techniques of Milano school and counselling techniques ? especially training of special skills. Criterias of choosing was determined partly by lawful duty, partly by the type of the institution, further by client´s and social worker´s personality, by the type of the problem and last but not least by the education of social workers.
