Abstract:

Strategie učení cizímu jazyku (CJ) hrají v procesu celoživotního učení CJ klíčovou roli. Významné jsou z pedagogického hlediska, neboť jejich používaní lze cíleně ovlivňovat. Práce se zabývá kvantitativním výzkumem strategií učení CJ pomocí dotazníku, inventáře strategií, techni-ky nestrukturovaných volných výpovědí, skupinových interview a interview s učiteli CJ. Pomocí dotazníku a inventáře bylo zjišťováno používání 85 vybraných strategií učení CJ u 606 studentů 14 brněnských gymnázií. Studenti vykazovali v používání strategií značné rezervy pro zlepšení jejich používání co do spektra různých strategií i míry jejich používání. Signifikantně více používali strategie přímé (paměťové, kognitivní, kompenzační) než nepřímé (metakognitivní, afektivní, sociální). Nejvíce používanou skupinou strategií byly kompenzační strategie, naopak téměř nepoužívané byly paměťové a afektivní strategie. Efektivita strategií byla zjišťována vůči známce z CJ, celkové efektivitě učení, rozvoji jed-notlivých CJ dovedností a úrovni znalosti CJ. U mnohých strategií se prokázala jejich efektivita, která byla v některých případech vázána na dosaženou úroveň CJ kompetence. Zkoumané strate-gie se ve své efektivitě liší a ukazuje se, že žáky nejvíce používané strategie nemusí být právě ty nejefektivnější. Mnoho z empiricky efektivních strategií není žáky dostatečně používáno. Jako nejefektivnější skupina strategií se ukazují kognitivní strategie. Jako ústřední, klíčová strategie byla na základě triangulace dat z použitých metod výzkumu identifikována strategie procvičování, především v přirozeném prostředí a s autentickými materiály. Na základě empirických dat byla vytvořena třífaktorová klasifikace strategií učení CJ, která reviduje dosavadní teorii klasifikace strategií.

Abstract:

Foreign language learning strategies (FLLS) play a very important role in a process of long life learning of foreign languages. They are very important from the pedagogical point of view because it is possible to influence their usage and realize a FLLS training program. 606 students of 14 comprehensive upper secondary schools (gymnázium) at Brno, Czech Republic were asked about their use of 85 FLLS, before all by means of a questionnaire, a strategy inventory and qualitative methods. The students show extensive reserves in using of the strategies regarding the variability and the extent of strategies application. They use significantly more direct FLLS (memory, cognitive, compensation strategies) than indirect FLLS (metacognitive, affective, social strategies). The most used groups of strategies were compensation strategies; the least used were memory and affective strategies. The effectiveness of strategies were analyzed in the context of school grade, long-term effectiveness of FLL, development of FL skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and the knowl-edge of FL. The effectiveness of many of these strategies was empirically recognized, in some cases depending on the level of the FL communication competence. Nevertheless, many of these effective strategies are not enough used by the students. The most effective group of strategies was cognitive strategies. As a key strategy was identified the practicing, before all in natural settings and with authentic materials. A new three factorial empirical classification of FLL strategies was suggested, it revises the current theory of FLL-strategies classification.
