Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá iniciativou Evropské hlavní město kultury (EHMK), která představuje jeden z nejúspěšnějších projektů Evropské unie v oblasti kultury. This master thesis deals with the The European Capital of Culture (ECOC) initiative, which represents one of the most succesfull European Union projects focused on culture. In more than 26 years of its existence, the ECOC project undergone a remarkable development and also the importance attached to it from the European Union increased.
