The problem of housing homeless people with mental illness

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je identifikovat hlavní faktory ztráty bydlení u lidí s duševním onemocněním bez domova na území Statutárního města Opava. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou sociálního vyloučení, fenoménem bezdomovectví, bydlením u lidí s duševním onemocněním, duševním onemocněním a systémem sociálních služeb. Metodologická část popisuje průběh kvalitativního průzkumu na provedeném vzorku lidí bez přístřeší s duševním onemocněním, a hledá odpověď na otázku, jaké události vedly k tomu, že se lidé s duševním onemocněním ocitli na ulici.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to identify the main factors of housing loss among people with mental illnesses without home in the territory of the Statutory City of Opava. The theoretical part deals with the issue of social exclusion, the phenomenon of homelessness, housing among people with mental illness and social services. The methodological part describes the process of qualitative research on a sample of homeless people with mental illness and seeks to answer the question of what events resulted in the people with mental illness finding themselves on the street.
