Problems of returning woman to the labour market after parental leave in chosen region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou návratu žen po rodičovské dovolené zpět na trh práce v konkrétním regionu – Dačicko. Cílem práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jaké jsou alternativy řešení problémů při návratu matek na trh práce v mikroregionu Dačicko?“ Práce se skládá ze tří částí, v teoretické části je vymezena legitimita problému a jsou charakterizovány faktory, které mají vliv při návratu na trh práce po rodičovské dovolené. Stručně charakterizuji výzkumy na dané téma. Druhá část se zabývá metodologií výzkumu, vysvětluje, proč byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, a jsou vymezeny dílčí výzkumné otázky. Třetí je část empirická, která se věnuje analýze získaných dat. V závěrečné části práce shrnuji poznatky výzkumu a pokouším se o nástin možných řešení problémů. Významnými problémy, které ženy identifikovaly, jsou nevhodná pracovní doba, nevyhovující otevírací doba mateřských škol a neexistence péče o děti do 3 let. Přispívá k tomu neochota zaměstnavatelů řešit problémy žen a také neochota samotných matek změnit svou situaci na trhu práce.

Abstract:

The main point of this thesis is issue of returning women after their parental leave to the labour market in chosen region – Dačicko. The question is “What alternatives do the mothers have when they come back to the labour market in Dačicko?“ The thesis consist of three parts. The theoretical part deals with characteristics of the problems which affect returning to the labour market and deals with researches which are similar to my topic. The second part is about methodology. It describes why I have chosen the qualitative research. It contains sub-research questions. The third part is empirical, it deals with analysis of the research. In the last part I try to suggest solutions of the problems. Women have identified the important problems which affect their behavior in the labour market. These problems are inadequate working hours, inconvenient opening hours in kindergardens and non-existent care for children up to 3 years. Employers do not try to solve the womens´ problems and the women do not try to change their behavior in the labour market.
