Life attitude of people with congenital physical disabilities in comparison with people with acquired physical disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na postoj k životu u osob s vrozeným tělesným postižením v porovnání s osobami se získaným tělesným postižením. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit rozdíly a podobnosti mezi zkoumanými osobami s vrozeným tělesným postižením a osobami se získaným tělesným postižením ve zvolených životních oblastech. Teoretická část obsahuje definice zvolených tělesných postižení, postojů a některých oblastí života, které mají vliv na postoj k životu. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl prováděn pomocí čtrnácti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Z výsledků vyplívá, že u respondentů s vrozeným tělesným postižením a u respondentů se získaným tělesným postižením existují rozdíly v následujících oblastech: vliv postižení na vztah s rodiči, oblasti založení rodiny, důležitost kontaktu s osobami se zdravotním postižením, životní spokojenost a oblast bariér. Podobnosti se mezi skupinami ukázaly v oblastech: vztahy se sourozenci, přátelské vztahy, sebepojetí neboli postoj k postižení, volný čas, pracovní uplatnění, prožívání úzkosti a životní hodnoty. Konkrétní výsledky prezentuji v kapitole kvalitativní analýza a následně je vyhodnocuji v diskuzi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the attitude to life of people with congenital physical disabilities in comparison to people with acquired physical disabilities. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out the differences and similarities between people with congenital physical disabilities and people with acquired physical disabilities in selected areas of life. The theoretical part contains the definition of selected physical disabilities, attitudes and some areas of life that affect the attitude to life. The practical part contains the results of qualitative research, which was conducted through fourteen semi-structured interviews. The results show that there are differences in respondents with congenital disabilities and respondents with acquired disabilities in the following areas: the impact of disability on the relationship with parents, family formation, the importance of contact with people with disabilities, life satisfaction and barriers. The similarities between the groups were in the following areas: sibling relationships, interpersonal relationships, self-concept or attitude to disability, leisure time, employment, experiencing anxiety and life values. The specific results are discussed in the chapter on qualitative analysis and then evaluated in the discussion.
