Possibilities of social work with the family in connection with the child's mental illness

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce pojednává o možnostech sociální práce s rodinou, ve které se nachází dítě s poruchou autistického spektra. V teoretické části se čtenář seznámí se základními pojmy, které s tématem souvisí. Tedy s pojmy rodina, sociální práce s rodinou, dále pak sociální práce s rodinou s duševně nemocným členem. Na to navazují kapitoly pojednávající o definici poruch autistického spektra, jejich klasifikaci, prevalenci, etiologii, diagnostice a o projevech, jež tuto poruchu doprovází. Součástí je rovněž dopad této poruchy na rodinu. Následně práce pojednává o možnostech sociální práce s rodinou a dítětem s PAS, včetně problémů, jež možnosti sociální pomoci těmto rodinám znesnadňují. V rámci výzkumné části byla užita kvalitativní výzkumná strategie, konkrétně metoda zakotvené teorie. Realizace výzkumu proběhla pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sociálními pracovníky. Rozhovory byly po přepisu a anonymizaci podrobeny otevřenému kódování (a axiálnímu kódování), na což plynule navázala nástavbová technika "vyložení karet". Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, popsat a analyzovat možnosti sociální práce s rodinou s dětmi s poruchami autistického spektra. Dílčím cílem práce bylo zjistit názory sociálních pracovníků na možnosti pomoci těmto rodinám a dětem s poruchami autistického spektra. Na závěr byly získané informace shrnuty.

Abstract:

This presented diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of social work with a family with a child with autism spectrum disorder. In the theoretical part, the reader is introduced to the basic concepts related to the topic. The concepts of family, social work with family, and social work with a family with a mentally ill member. This is followed by chapters dealing with the definition of autism spectrum disorders, their classification, prevalence, etiology, diagnosis and the symptoms that accompany this disorder. The impact of the disorder on the family is also included. Subsequently, the thesis discusses the possibilities of social work with a family and a child with ASD, including the problems that make the possibilities of social help for these families difficult. A qualitative research strategy was used in the research part, specifically the grounded theory method. The implementation of the research was carried out through semi-structured interviews with social workers. After transcription and anonymisation, the interviews were subjected to open coding (and axial coding), which was seamlessly followed the superstructure technique of 'laying out the cards'. The main aim was to find out, describe and analyse the possibilities of social work with families with children with autism spectrum disorders. A sub-objective was to find out the opinions of social workers about the possibilities of helping these families and children with autism spectrum disorders. At the end, the information obtained was summarized.
