This diploma thesis focuses on teaching English to talented pupils. In the theoretical part, terminology, history and theoretical models of talent and giftedness are introduced. Then, characteristics of talented pupils and methods of their diagnosis are described in detail. Approaches to teaching talented pupils in different countries in the world are also briefly included.
