The Depiction of Margaret Thatcher's Rule in the Plays of the 1980s
Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to provide an analysis of the plays A Small Family Business by Alan Ayckbourn, The Secret Rapture by David Hare and Thatcher's Children by Trevor Griffiths which date to the period of the 1980s in Britain. In the initial part of the paper the characteristics of Thatcher's policy and its impacts on British theatre and especially on political theatre are introduced. …more

Hlavním cílem této práce je poskytnout analýzu her Malá rodinná firma od Alana Ayckbourna, Skryté osvícení od Davida Hara a Thatcherovské děti od Trevora Griffithse, které pochází z období 80. let 20. století v Británii.
